I've been down with a bloody cold but surely I'm recovering. All this time in bed, all these crazy dreams only I would dream. Mark and I started watching this movie, Martyrs, right before bed...

I don't get too scared of horror flicks but suspense kills me in every way. Not your bedtime tale but so far so good. On a similar note, I had anticipated Let The Right One In...

I tried to convince myself I liked it as much as everyone else. I'll say- it was pretty, it was icy, it was very Swedish, but waaay overrated. Someone was quoted saying, "This film is the best vampire film in my life during 25 years in cinema world." Really??? Squeal like a pig!

I kinda always like to be alone and take speedy walks to nowhere...although I can't stand walking through a smoker's trail. I give the stink eye and the stink nose as I move on. The day is beautiful and I am inside, drowning in my fleamarket blanket. I wonder about Michael Jackson and if he's really OK, in spirit. I try not to think too much. My limbs are sore, my lips are dry- I don't know if I will be able to finish my lab report before MONDAY. I...I...I... and you, what about you? You know?

I remember my first day of ninth grade when I was a loner at a new school- check this, I used to hang out in the counselors' office where I pretended to be waiting for someone when really, I wanted to die in the principal's arms. One day I found a Youth Outlook (YO!) newspaper sitting atop a desk. I was first intrigued by the drawings and the poetry and eventually swept away by the work. I was YO!'s number one reader. By my senior year, I was still a loner, incredibly, awkwardly and ridiculously shy but I tell you, I was all over the place- taking pictures, meeting the young and old, writing, drawing, thinking, dreaming, hungry, thirsty, all the time. The summer before college, I did my first gig for YO! and before I knew it, I was on staff. I had landed my first dream job and how? Well, I've always been a lucky girl.
